This green smoothie is a vitamin C booster, perfect to start the day full of energy (and antioxidants). 💪
Kiwifruits and moringa are both excellent sources of this vitamin, so they are a great option when you feel you need a bit more of it.
Ingredients (serves 2):
– 1 cup chopped pineapple
– 2 kiwifruits
– 3-4 tbsp. saijan/moringa leaves
– 1 cup water
Directions:
1) Blend all the ingredients in a blender until they become smooth. Add water if necessary.
TIP: add 2 tbsp. of flaxseeds to your smoothies! Flaxseeds are an excellent source of essential omega-3 fatty acids that our body is unable to produce (and we therefore need to introduce them with diet). Flaxseeds are also a good source of a powerful type of antioxidants called lignans.
This green smoothie is a very good source of dietary fibre, antioxidants, calcium, vitamins A and C.
