Healthy Eating with Pacific Plants! is the second cookbook published by Suva-based nutritionist and lifestyle medicine professional Vittoria Pasca.

Its purpose is to serve as a meal planning guide to better understand which foods should be eaten on a daily basis and how to compose meals which are nutritious and balanced.

Following a nutrition explanation on balanced meal planning, it contains 50 colourful and delicious recipes that help put all the theory into practice.

The book shows how easy, fun and satisfying a healthy diet can be.

For those who would you like to go a step forward and understand nutrition in a bit more detail, Healthy Eating with Pacific Plants! answers many of the most common questions on nutrition, from how to prevent iron deficiency to how to enhance immunity.

The book is allergy-friendly as all the recipes are free from dairy and eggs. The large majority is also free from gluten (GF) or can be made without it (GFO).

The focus of the book is to promote whole-food, plant-based diets, so the recipes are all vegan. They’re made from local produce and ingredients commonly found in Fiji and the South Pacific, with the addition of hints of new foods that are becoming more common in the region and that people might be curious to try.
